Freeland High School Our Story

Freeland has a vision of being a regional leader in alternative-energy education at the secondary level. A Recycling Program and Bio-Diesel Program are just two of the many green programs offered at Freeland High School. The Bio-Diesel Program, new to their curriculum, is a program in which the advanced chemistry students are participating. It involves the synthesis of biodiesel from waste oils. They hope that this program will help them to meet their goal of providing enough fuel to meet 6-8% fuel demand of their bus fleet. Freeland High School continues to embrace green initiatives and they are very proud of their efforts.
