Hudsonville High School would like to increase their student's education on sustainability initiatives that they can perform at school as well as at home. They currently have been working on encouraging teachers and students to turn off the lights when they exit a classroom they would also like to tackle the composting of lunches by having different student organizations monitor the disposal of the lunches and another to maintain the compost site. They plan on incorporating curriculum based around solar photovoltaic (PV) and wind turbines to teach their students about renewable energy.
Since monitoring began 11/12/2010, this system has generated 9,621 kilowatt hours of clean energy.
