Forest Park School District Our Story

Forest Park is actively seeking ways to offset their current electricity usage. They are excited for their solar PV awning to aid in these efforts. They will also be using the system as an educational tool for their students to learn about the importance of renewable energy. Forest Park School District also works to teach students and staff about energy efficiency by encouraging lights to be turned off and keeping classroom doors closed during winter months.
Since monitoring began 12/09/2010, this system has generated 3398 kilowatt hours of clean energy.
Enough to offset...
lbs. of CO2 emissions, the main cause of global warming.
miles worth of CO2 emissions from the average American car.
Enough power for...
days of electricity usage in an average American house.
hours using a 13-watt energy-efficient CFL light bulb.
