Romeo Engineering and Technology Center Our Story

Romeo has been implementing green initiatives into their school district for over 30 years. One program proven to be successful is the high schools' SERVE Program (Students Enriching Romeo through Volunteer Experiences), which has have expanded upon the recycling program and helped participate in weekly pick-ups of the recyclable goods in both of the high school buildings. While consistently reviewing conservation policies, Romeo has since installed low flow water fixtures and removed energy consuming appliances such as refrigerators from the building. The 20 kW solar array will be a great asset to the Romeo School District, as students hoping to specialize in building trades or sustainability will get first-hand experience with this technology.
Since monitoring began 12/08/2010, this system has generated 193722 kilowatt hours of clean energy.
